Effects of Economy on Individuals

This blog is a continuation of the one posted on 11/17/2009 entitled Effects of the Economy and Stimulus on Individuals

When a person is late for a payment, utility companies demand full amount not partial either by them submitting an electronic payment or the payment through a certain way which adds an additional processing fee, which adds to the bill of the individual.  If a partial payment is made in either of the above mentioned ways, it still does not guarantee service will not be suspended.

When credit card companies do not receive a payment on time and are a month late, they start calling every three days and asking when a payment is going to be made.  These calls will continue every three days unless you write a Do Not Call letter.  After several months they seem to be quick to turn it over to a collection agency.  This action is taken even if the individual has had no prior lateness and states a payment will be made when possible.  Collection agencies are also demanding on what to set up for electronic payment plan without regards to an individual other bills including mortgage payment or rent and food.

All three do not seem to care about a person keeping a roof over their head or food on the table so they dont get sick.

This writer does not know about mortgage companies since he has not dealt with one.  By talking to other people, it seems like mortgage companies are like credit card companies.
